While you’re here:

• Visit the historic Market House, one of the oldest buildings in the centre of town built between 1650 and 1654, and the Made in Ross gallery upstairs, showcasing a wide range of locally made arts and crafts.

• Wander up to St Mary’s Church with its 205 foot high spire and head to The Prospect for breathtaking views over the River Wye.

• Follow the two-mile blue plaque Heritage Trail around town and learn about key sites of historical and architectural interest. Maps are available online at visitrossonwye.com/heritage-trail.

• The Market Square hosts weekly markets on Thursdays and Saturdays where you can buy a range of gifts, flowers, food and drink.

• Browse the independent shops whilst taking a tour of the town’s Vintage Trail, a unique collection of vintage, retro and antique shops.

• Stroll along the riverside’s Linear Arboretum with some 200+ trees stretching a mile from the Rope Walk to Wilton Bridge.

• Local sculptor Walenty Pytel’s three metal sculptures depicting salmon, swans and mallards can be found at the top of Wye Street and on the riverbank.
